Charter and Laws relevant to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) was reorganized under Republic Act (RA) No. 10625 signed on 12 September 2013. As stated in Section 5 of RA 10625, the data released produced by the PSA is the "official and controlling statistics of the government".
The government agency is more commonly known to handle the Civil Registration through Act No. 3753 or the Civil Registry Law.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is also the repository and custodian of all data for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) as stated in Republic Act No. 11055 also known as the Philippine Identification System Act
They are also the lead agency in the implementation of Community-Based Monitoring System with the passage of R.A. 11315.

The Labor Force Survey (LFS) is conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) to monitor the Unemployment Rate in the Philippines.
